Letting God

In the Darkest Night

In Your Darkest Night

From time to time, you reach points in your life when you just feel… tired.

Tired of going through the daily grind, tired of being wrong, tired of being right.  Tired of arguing with people over the same things over and over again, tired of worrying, tired of planning for the future, tired of waiting.

Tired of smiling, tired of plodding on, tired of learning, tired of wanting to learn.

Tired of moving forward.

But it is those moments that make you realize your humanity.

You cannot do everything.  You do not have to.

You cannot be everything.

You do not have to.

Yes, you are small in this big universe.  You are totally at the mercy of everything and everyone.

But you will be all right.   More than all right.

Because someone is looking after you, championing you, carrying you when you fall, or want to fall.

Like precisely this moment.

Like precisely this moment.

May you have a blessed and holy week.   May you realize you do not have to do ALL in this world to be someone, or something.  Sometimes, you just have to let go, and let Him.

So smile, give up the reigns (even if just for this week), and feel the weight lift from your shoulders.

(and please remember to utter a silent thank you to Him)
